Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). A successful interactive session of the “Focus Group”, which included the medical staff at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) Health Center.
The session was led by Prof. Ammar Almaaytah, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Director of the (CSDST) at JUST, who explained that this event comes within the second phase of the project “Developing effective social accountability strategies for better health outcomes within Jordan.
The session witnessed the participation of the Deputy Director of the Jordan University of Science and Technology Health Center, Dr. Ola Khalifa, and a team of the health center’s medical staff. Almaaytah pointed out the importance of benefiting from the experiences and opinions of the participants through the brainstorming session, where applicable tools and strategies are identified to enhance governance and social accountability in the health center.
Commitment to standards of transparency, cooperation, openness to others, and diversity of viewpoints was highlighted, as part of the social responsibility approach adopted by the Center and the University.
The session was led by Dr. Muhannad Odeh, leader of the research team, who will analyze the health status of the project, accompanied by members of the research team. Dr. Odeh, who holds a doctorate in pharmacy and is a faculty member at the Hashemite University, is leading this effort to improve health services and promote a culture of social accountability.
This activity comes within the framework of the project “Developing Effective Social Accountability Strategies for Better Health Outcomes within Jordan,” which includes the project “Enhancing Social Accountability and Empowering Civil Society Institutions to Achieve Good Governance.” This project is implemented in cooperation with the Al-Hayat Center - Monitor, as part of the “Nazaha” project co-funded by the European Union Delegation to Jordan and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
