The Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized an interactive focus group session, which included the Deputy Director of the King Abdullah University Hospital., Dr. Firas Qarqiz, and participants from the hospital’s medical staff.
Prof. Ammar Almaaytah, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) at the University said: These words come within the second phase of the project “The Development of Efficient Social Accountability Strategies for Better Health Outcomes within Jordan”. Pointing out that it constitutes an added value to benefit from the experiences and opinions of the participants - through a brainstorming process - in identifying applicable tools and strategies, through which the performance of institutions can be developed, the culture of social accountability enhanced, and the improvement of services provided to individuals.
Almaaytah added that this session comes in the context of a commitment to the standards of transparency, cooperation, openness to others, and diversity of viewpoints, which constitute an approach towards social responsibility adopted by the Center in particular and the Jordan University of Science and Technology in general.
