Conclusion of a Training Workshop Series Empowering Women Entrepreneurs as Part of the "Sustainable Solutions for Social Cohesion" Project
On Monday, January 27, 2025, the training workshop series held in Irbid Governorate came to a successful conclusion. The workshops targeted 60 women entrepreneurs along with Syrian and Palestinian refugee women residing in the region. Conducted as part of the "Sustainable Solutions for Social Cohesion" project—funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Jordan—the sessions were implemented by the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), in collaboration with Al-Hayat Center – Rased.
The eight-day training program was designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, with participants divided into two groups. The final workshop focused on developing financial management skills essential for small business owners, which are critical to ensuring the sustainability and growth of their projects within the local economy.
The closing session, led by financial expert Mr. Hamza Al-Hasban, included an in-depth lecture on financial resource management for small businesses. Key topics discussed included:
- Maintaining financial records
- Pricing strategies
- Cost planning
- Budget preparation
- Revenue and expense analysis
The training aimed to equip participants with practical financial tools to help sustain their businesses and increase their growth opportunities.
Project organizers emphasized that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to empower women and vulnerable communities by providing training and resources that strengthen their economic and social capacities. The project also reflects the Norwegian Embassy's commitment to promoting sustainable development and social cohesion in Jordan.
This training series is part of a broader set of initiatives led by the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology at JUST, aimed at enhancing both life and professional skills among individuals and targeted groups, helping them overcome economic and social challenges.
