Conclusion of Training Workshop Series for Thirty Women Entrepreneurs Under the “Sustainable Solutions for Social Cohesion” Project in Irbid with a Workshop on Financial Management for Small Businesses
Irbid, January 21, 2025 – On Monday, January 21, 2025, the training workshop series conducted under the "Sustainable Solutions for Social Cohesion" project, funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Jordan, successfully concluded. The project was implemented through a collaboration between the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and Al-Hayat Center – Rased.
Spanning four days, the workshops targeted women entrepreneurs from Irbid Governorate who own small businesses, along with Syrian and Palestinian refugees residing in the area. The sessions focused on enhancing the essential skills for effectively managing small businesses, with the goal of empowering participants to improve their financial performance and actively contribute to the local economy.
The final workshop, conducted by financial expert Mr. Hamza Al-Hasban, covered key topics in financial management, including record-keeping, cost estimation, product pricing, budgeting, and revenue-expenditure analysis for small businesses. The session aimed to provide participants with practical tools to manage their financial resources efficiently, ensuring the sustainability of their businesses and enhancing their economic growth opportunities.
Commenting on the workshop, Mr. Al-Hasban stated:
"These workshops represent a significant step toward empowering women to manage their financial resources more effectively, which in turn strengthens the sustainability of small businesses and expands their opportunities for economic success despite the challenges of the local market."
The "Sustainable Solutions for Social Cohesion" project reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women and vulnerable social groups by providing training and resources that enhance their economic and social capabilities. This initiative contributes to strengthening social cohesion and building a more resilient and sustainable community.
