Bio

Monther Aldwairi was born in Irbid, Jordan in 1976. Dr. Aldwairi received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 1998, and his M.S. and PhD in computer engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, NC in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is an Associate Professor of Network Engineering and Security at Jordan University of Science and Technology, where he has been since 2007. He served as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology from 2010 to 2012 and was the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in 2009. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at New York Institute of Technology (NYiT) since 2009. He worked at NCSU as Post-Doctoral Research Associate in 2007 and as a research assistant from 2001 to 2006. He worked as a system integration engineer for ARAMEX from 1998 to 2000.
His research interests are in network and web security, intrusion detection and forensics, computer architecture, cloud computing, GPU and parallel programming, artificial intelligence, pattern matching, natural language processing and bioinformatics.
Dr. Aldwairi is an IEEE and Jordan association of engineers’ member. He served on the steering and TPC committees of renowned conferences and he is a reviewer for several periodicals.
