Welcome to JUST Energy Center(JUSTEC)

The mission of the Energy Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) is dedicated to improving energy sustainability through programs intended to support energy efficiency, renewable energy and environmental protection. The Energy Center provides objective research, information, consultations and education on energy issues to different industries, professionals, policy makers and the public.

The most important starting achievement of the center is the establishment of the Master program in "Energy Technology", starting February 2006 in cooperation with some European Universities especially KTH in Sweden , and Zaragoza University in Spain through a TEMPUS project. The educational methodology will concentrate on "Integrated Systems" rather than separate components, hence offering unique opportunity to integrate knowledge from thermal sciences, design, electrics, control, applications, service and management. Experts from Jordan and abroad will be invited to contribute in this new program. The main objective is to offer services for industry, to strengthen its ties with the University. The entries to this program will be those having B.Sc. in: Different fields of engineering, physics, chemistry and environmental sciences.
The subject of the thesis will be relevant to industrial problems, to generate enhancement of cooperation between the university and the industrial and governmental institutions. Outstanding Participants will be supported to carry out work similar to their project or part of it in one of the European Universities.
