The Department is in charge of teaching third, fourth and fifth year dental students all fields of conservative dentistry. These include fixed Prosthodontics, Operative dentistry, Esthetic dentistry, Endodontics

There is  amaster course in the discipline of Endodontics. The high specilaty certificate program in endodontics  has recieved the first group of students in July 2010.

The pre-clinical undergraduate phase is carried out in the University campus where well-equipped laboratories can accommodate 120 students per session and a new plan is being prepared to accommodate 200 students per session.

At this stage, students are taught and trained in all aspects of conservative dentistry, to improve their skills before they deal directly with patients in the clinical phase.

The clinical stage is carried out in the Dental Teaching Health Center in Irbid, where there are 21 dental units for the Conservative practical sessions.

There are 9 faculty members all of whom are highly qualified in different fields of conservative dentistry, in addition to 1 scholar who is pursuing his advanced training in high standard international universities.

The Department, in cooperation with other departments at JUST, serves the local community through treating patients, giving oral and dental health instructions and via the scientific and voluntary days, which are conducted annually.
