The Deans' Council is responsible for executing the University policy and is chaired by the University President. It includes as members the Vice Presidents and the Deans. The council has the following main responsibilities:

1. Reviewing & evaluating the activities, research and achievements of the academic staff and taking the necessary actions related to it as stated in the rules & regulations.
2. Appointment and promotion of faculty members.
3. Approving sabbaticals and other leaves of absence of the faculty members.
4. Discussion and approval of the curricula of the various faculties.
5. Approving the establishment of new academic departments & faculties.
6. Establishing the general policy of students' admission in accordance with the regulations
