President of Jordan University of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Saeb Khresat received Mr. Edward Oakden, the British Ambassador in Amman, in his office on Thursday, 24/10/2019. Dr Khresat made a short presentation about the university's great achievements in academic fields and pointed out that the university seeks to raise the efficiency of its graduates by teaching them to use the latest modern technologies and training them on the latest advanced scientific devices in various local and international institutions and factories. This way they can gain many skills that enable them to compete in the market and become distinguished engineers, doctors, and professors.
The British Ambassador also met a number of university students in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Anas Al-Nabulsi. They discussed several ways of academic and cultural cooperation between the university and different British academic institutions, in order to benefit from the experience of British universities and research institutions in various fields.
The Ambassador visited Princess Haya Biotechnology Center at the university, where the Director of the Center, Dr. Saeed Jaradat, gave a brief introduction about the establishment of this training center and its objectives and the vital role it plays in serving the community, the surrounding environment and the region in general.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Okden expressed his admiration of the scientific level of the university, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the university and other academic institutions in Britain.
