The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and Naua, a Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) initiative, on Sunday signed a cooperation agreement to acquaint students with the Naua platform and its various charity projects and encourage them to partake in voluntary activities.

​​​Naua CEO Ahmad Zu’bi highlighted the importance of partnerships with higher education institutions, which is imperative to Naua’s efforts to engage youths and build their capacity in regards to voluntary community service, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.​


University of Science and Technology (JUST) Signs a Cooperation with "Nawa Platform" one of the Crown Prince's Foundation's Initiatives           

JUST today signed a cooperation agreement with the Nawa Platform, one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation, which was established in partnership with the private sector aimed at introducing students to Nawa platform and charitable projects to motivate them to volunteer.

 The agreement was signed by Dr. Saeb Khreisat and the platform CEO Dr. Ahmed Al-Zoubi on the University campus in Irbid, in the presence of the Executive Director of the Crown Prince's Foundation Dr. Tamam Menko, Vice President Dr. Sarhan Haddad, and a number of deans at the university and the Nawa team.

 For his part, Dr. Al-Zoubi stressed the importance of partnership with the higher education sector as an essential part of a message intended to guide young people's energies towards community volunteering, which contributes to enhancing their skills and experience in life. He pointed to the importance of the role of JUST as an innovative beacon to provide the best levels of education to provide the community with a generation of intellectuals and pacemakers of the latest technology in the world.

 In the same context, Dr. Khreisat said that JUST is keen to enable activities and projects which aim at improving the society and spreading the culture of giving and social responsibility to students in an effective partnership with all institutions of the society to achieve good and effective citizenship to serve the country and the citizen. Moreover, the construction of the inputs of education and its real outputs works to build and create a university generation armed with a solid system of integrated values.

             Dr. Al-Khuraisat appreciated the efforts of the Nawa platform and pointed to the importance of such initiatives in the service of society and its role in contributing to the implementation of voluntary projects, which has a positive impact on the society.

           It is worth mentioning that Nawa is a non-profit  platform,  and it is one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation established in partnership with the private sector. It is part of the work of giving and community service in the organization's strategy as an electronic social platform that links the private sector and individuals with non- Profit organizations to encourage charitable and volunteer work, with the aim of enhancing the contribution to community empowerment and measuring the resulting impact, in order to reach the most needy groups and sectors more easily, meet these needs and effectively meet their needs.

                It is pointed that JUST is one of the leading universities in the field of volunteering. The University is keen to activate community volunteering activities through the courses it offers in the academic plans aiming at enhancing the academic personality and building the national social aspect of the students. And to activate the methodological and non-curricular aspect of them both by promoting the idea of acceptance of voluntary work, focusing on collective work and the spirit of one team, and in order to achieve the mission of the university that partnership work with the community.  It has become an urgent need to build the homeland and advancement towards progress and competition
