The President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Saeb Khreisat, honored a number of students of the Civil Engineering Department who won the national version of the Falling Walls Lab competition. The winners will represent Jordan in the international competition in Berlin in November. They are Khaled Sawafta, Basil Al Bishawi and Muhannad Al-Qodsi. Bara Samara, Abdullah Bahra and Hamza from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Ahmed Kheirallah from the Department of Computer Networks Engineering and Security.
Khreisat said during the ceremony that the university sponsors the creators in the the university and community. Because it includes a range of facilities and services to support and nurture innovators and entrepreneurs, which develop their skills and develop their creativity through the Center of Excellence for Creative Projects.
Khreisat pointed out that the University of Science and Technology is proud of the achievements made by the students, noting the keenness of the university administration to adopt the creative and distinctive ideas of the Jordanian youth and support them to be creators and distinguished people.
The winners of the competition expressed their thanks to the University for this generous gesture which will motivate students, stressing their determination to continue this approach and raise the Jordanian flag high in various Arab and international fields.
It is worth mentioning that these competitions contribute to the development of scientific skills and creative thinking and leadership among university students, which enables them to compete at the global level.
