The Faculty of Pharmacy at JUST has earned the international accreditation of the American Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE) for both the BS Pharmacy and PharmD degrees per the board meeting in June 2018. The President of the university Professor Saeb Khreisat stated that this step comes as part of the university strategic plan to secure the international accreditation that will help in quality assurance and strengthen clinical programs. He further stated that earning the international accreditation will provide incentive to maintain excellence in education and positively impact the job opportunities for graduates.
Professor Khreisat added that JUST is committed to continue its efforts to reach world excellence in academic education and research ranks via supporting innovation and providing students with unique education and research opportunities.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Professor Karim Alzoubi said that this accomplishment will provide our Faculty distinguished acknowledgment from our local communities as well as international arena. Further, securing this accreditation should augment our efforts to set up pharmaceutical care standards in agreement with international programs.
Furthermore, Professor Abeer Al-Ghananeem, Vice Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, stated that this great accomplishment was the result of a sincere efforts by faculty, staff, and students as well as the support of several departments within the university Dr. Al-Ghananeem further stated that this accreditation demonstrates our commitment to continuous quality improvement in pharmacy education per international accreditation standards.
Jordan University of Science and Technology was ranked 4th among the Arab Universities by the Times Higher Education (THE), and earned five starts of excellence by QS. Also, JUST was recognized as one of the top 500 worldwide universities by THE.
