Dr. Al-Atoum Patronizes the Iraqi Students’ Celebration titled "From the Palm to the Black Iris"
The Dean of Student Affairs , Dr. Awni Al-Atoum, patronized the Iraqi students’ celebration titled "From the Palm to the Black Iris” which was organized by the Iraqi students at the university in cooperation with the Office of Arab and Foreign Students at JUST. The celebration was attended by the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, Prof. Haider Zeidan, the Director of the Office of Arab and Foreign Students, Mr. Hassan Zu'bi, a number of the faculty members as well as may students at the university.
During the celebration, Dr. Zeidan emphasized the depth and the strength of the relations between Iraq and Jordan and expressed his gratefulness and appreciation to the university for supporting and encouraging the students to practice their social activities and extracurricular hobbies.
On his part, Dr. Al-Atoum said that the university's support of its Iraqi students in their cultural celebration comes within the framework of the university's keenness to spread familiarity and goodwill among all students from different nationalities. In addition, Al-Atoum, emphasized that the Iraqi students are an essential part in the university and that we are proud of them being among us.
Dr. Al-Atoum added that the Deanship of Student Affairs is working hard to activate the role of the students of the Arab and foreign communities in organizing and holding extracurricular activities, which will contribute to enhancing the socio-cultural interaction among the students from different nationalities.
It is worth mentioning that the number of the Iraqi students who are studying at JUST is about (170) students.
