JUST Signs MOU with Ahi Evran University
The acting president of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Khalid El Salem signed a memorandum of understanding with Ahi Evran University of Turkey.
The MoU aims at enhancing international cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the joint projects related to the EU-funded Erasmus + program, as well as the Turkish program "Mevlana", which provides financial support for the implementation of academic mobility of faculty members and students between the two universities.
During the meeting, Prof. El Salem stressed that Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) places internationalization and the promotion of international cooperation as one of the main pillars of its future academic strategy.
During the meeting, Prof. El Salem also reviewed the achievements of the University since its establishment in 1986, and in particular the historic achievement of the University during the last year as being listed among the top five hundred universities in the world according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
For his part, the delegation of the University of Ahi Evran, which included the university president, Dr. Vatan Karakaya, as well as the vice president of the university, Dr. Ahmed Gokbel, praised Jordan University of Science and Technology for its prestigious reputation in the region and stressed the keenness of Turkish higher education institutions to increase cooperation in scientific research with their Jordanian counterparts.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Assistant to the President for International Relations Dr. Ammar Almaaytah.
