A Delegation from the Cultural Affairs Office at the U.S Embassy Visits JUST
JUST President, Prof. Omar Al Jarrah met with a delegation from the U.S Embassy cultural affairs office in Jordan. Both parties discussed possible means of strengthening the relationship between JUST and American Universities and institutions of higher Education in the U.S.
The delegation was represented by Mr. John Hishmeh, the Assistant cultural affairs officer and Ms. Basma Amawi the Senior cultural affairs specialist at the embassy. Both parties discussed the embassy funded U.S - Jordanian University Consortium project that both parties are working on in addition of possible programs that the embassy can offer to JUST for capacity building such as the Fulbright specialist program.
The president explained the that the university is currently focusing on internationalization as a strategic pillar for achieving its mission and that partnering with U.S universities is crucial for the success of the future of the university's projects.
Mr. John Hishmeh explained the role of the cultural affairs office at the U.S embassy in Jordan in providing assistance to Jordanian universities to build stronger relationships with their American counterparts.
