Cooperation between Jordan  University of Science and Technology/JUST and Katsina State of Nigerian

The President of JUST , Prof. Omar Jarrah, received the delegation of Katsina State of Nigeria under the chairmanship of Dr. Loul Badamasi, the Special Advisor of the Governor of Katsina State for Higher Education, and Mr. Rappo Roma, Director of the Permanent Secretariat of the Ministry of Higher Education.

During the meeting, the scientific cooperation between the university and institutions of higher education in Nigeria in general and in the state of Katsina was deepened in terms of attracting Nigerian students to study at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the university.

Dr. Al-Jarrah appreciated the desire of the Nigerian side to expand the admission base of Nigerian students wishing to enroll in the university, which reached 86 students studying various scientific disciplines at the university. Dr. Al-Jarrah also stressed the depth of cooperation between the Nigerian Embassy in Amman and Jordan University of Science and Technology.

For their part, the Nigerian delegation praised the academic and administrative level of the university after being ranked among the top 500 universities in the world according to the World Times of Universities. In addition, they praised the level of advanced services and facilities offered by the university for Arab and foreign students in general and Nigerian students in particular. The delegation also praised the academic level of university graduates from Arab and foreign students and praised the level of students who graduated from the university, including 31 students working in Nigerian hospitals now.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Awni Al Atoum, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al Khatib, Director of the Financial Affairs Unit, Mr. Hassan Al Zu'bi, Director of the Office of Arab and Foreign Students, and a number of Nigerian students.
