The 3rd JUST Paramedics International Conference
Professor Omar Al-Jarrah, the President of JUST, patronage the activities of the 3rd JUST Paramedics International Conference (JPIC2017): "Professionalism and Research", organised by the Paramedics Program, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in cooperation with Monash University, Australia.
The conference program included a number of presentation, workshops and initiatives related to the paramedic field. Prehospital care experts presented the activities from Monash University, Dubai Ambulance, King Saud University, and Jordanian Ministry of Health, Civil defence, Royal Medical Services, Jordanian Air Ambulance, King Abdallah University Hospital and JUST faculty members. Paramedic program students, graduates and internship students have also participated in these conference activities.
Dr Muhammad Al-Jarrah, Faculty Dean, explained that this conference offers the opportunities to exchange evidence-based expertise, empowering JUST's relationships with the pioneer international universities and entities. He also affirmed that the conference will help the paramedics professionals and students to acknowledge the latest research knowledge and expertise in the field.
Professor Brett Williams, Head of Paramedics Department at Monash University, complemented JUST's continuous efforts and initiatives to support and improve the competencies of the university's students and graduates. He also congratulated JUST on being among the top 500 universities. Finally, Dr Alaa Oteir, Assistant Dean and Head of organising committee, explained that the two-day conference includes lectures and workshops focusing on the role of research in improving the paramedic scientific research as well as the paramedic profession in Jordan as well as in the Middle East. Dr Ala' also stated that all the abstracts and scientific papers in this conference will be published in Journal of Paramedic Practice, which is well recognized British journal in paramedic field.
