JUST Establishes 8 new partnerships for 2017 within the European Union-funded Erasmus + International Credit Mobility Program.
Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has been able to obtain funding and support for eight new partnerships for 2017 within the European Union-funded Erasmus + international Credit Mobility (ICM) program.
The partnerships involves eight universities, representing five European countries including the United Kingdom, Portugal, Lithuania, Iceland, Czech Republic in addition to Turkey bringing the total number of university partnerships to 16.
The Erasmus + International Credit Mobility Program provides an opportunity for Jordanian universities to exchange faculty members and administrators as well as students with partner universities to in order to share teaching experiences, perform scientific training and research, and build international relations and strategic partnerships with European and Turkish universities.
The President of JUST Prof. Omar Al-Jarrah said that the success of these projects came through the joint efforts between the university and the Erasmus + National Office in Jordan, as well as the European University partners. The University has taken several measures through its International Relations Office aimed at developing and enhancing the administrative process of international Credit Mobility through taking special measure for regulating the exchange process and ensuring the recognition of the courses for students participating in the program upon their return to the university. The University has also established selection criteria for the differentiation of the program applicants that ensure transparency and integrity in the selection of faculty members and students participating in the program in addition to providing all university faculties with the opportunity to participate in various exchange projects.
