Collaboration agreement between the Jordan University of Science and Technology and Al-Quds College
A collaboration agreement between the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Al-Quds College for Education, Training and Consulting Ltd. was signed today at JUST.
The agreement, which was signed by the president of JUST, Dr. Omar Jarrah, and the Dean of Al-Quds College, Dr. Ayman Maqableh, included the use of the fabrication laboratory and the business incubator and facilities of the Shamal Star project, in the Irbid Development Area, by the JUST students, researchers, and faculty members and provide marketing opportunities for the project. With the aim of introducing students to the project and how to benefit from it, introductory sessions will be held on campus; in addition of exchanging training programs and participation in studies, courses, and training workshops.
The Director of the Center for Excellence for Innovative Projects, Dr. Fahed Awad, said that this agreement comes with JUST’s willingness to activate cooperation and coordination with all sectors working in the field of education and training in the local community; provided that JUST has a great role in keeping up with scientific and technological developments in the world and that Al-Quds College is among the leading institutions in the field of training, supplying the local and regional communities with trained and qualified competencies.
Dean of Al-Quds College, Dr. Ayman Maqableh, said that the college has an ambition to partner with major Jordanian institutions of international reputation and is proud to sign this agreement with JUST in order to provide students with expertise to work in the local and international markets.
The signing of this agreement comes within the framework of JUST’s cooperation with various state institutions and the civil society in order to provide a scientific and practical framework to support entrepreneurs and provide them with all technical, consultation, and training services through the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects.
It is worth mentioning that the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the Jordan University of Science and Technology aims at achieving sustainable development by providing the appropriate technical environment to support innovation in various industrial and service fields in order to develop prototypes of innovative services or products that can be manufactured and commercialized. This is achieved by incubating the innovative ideas as startup companies and help them until they spin-off as independent commercial companies that support the national economy by transforming it into knowledge-based economy in multiple productive fields.
