The International Conference on Information and Communication Systems (ICICS 2017) is a forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of Computer and Information Sciences. ICICS'17 is an annual conference and this version is the eighth of a series that was started in 2009. ICICS'17 is organized by the Faculty of Computer & Information Technology (CIT) at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) with patronizing Prof. Omar Al-Jarrah the president of the university. The dean of CIT, Dr. Ali Shatnawi, and his group worked hard in the last couple of years to polish the conference and to attract international scientists.

The conference is refereed and the proceedings are published and indexed by IEEE Xplore Digital Library. It was the tremendous efforts of the Publication Chair, Dr. Muhannad Quwaider, who secured IEEE support for this conference. The conference will bring together experts, professionals, government officials, leaders of international organizations from the public and private sectors from more than 32 countries. It will both inform participants of the latest findings from research and development projects in the field of Information and Communication technology and also provide an opportunity to contribute to debate upon how findings can impact practice in this important area. This year, we expect to have more than 250 attendees. The attendees are spread from different sectors.
The program committee of ICICS'17 accepted 65 papers selected from 184 reviewed submissions with acceptance rate of 35%. The papers came from a rich mix of authors all over the world. Authors from over 45 countries have submitted papers, and the final program includes authors from 32 countries and over 35 organizations. In total, the 184 submitted papers received more than 500 reviews. Based on these reviews, the authors produced the polished final papers that constitute the conference proceedings.
