Mission of the Department:

The Biotechnology program at the department of biotechnolgy and genetic engineering at JUST aims to provide students with a carefully selected sequential set of courses that when completed successfuly improve their knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics and genetic engineering techniques. Students well have hands-on laboratory techniques including but not limited to chromatography, electrophoresis, in addition to several molecular and immunochemical techniques. The acquired knowledge will therefore, be applied in a wide variety of biotechnology-related jobs such as manufacturing, research, teaching or sales.
