| The faculty of nursing contributes and has contributed to the community through several programs and activities, of these Community services:

a. JUST Faculty of Nursing has been designed as WHO-Collaborating centre in 1997; since then:
- The centre implemented a variety of training programs to enhance nursing education and nursing services in Jordan and the region including Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and some Gulf states.
- The JUST collaborating centre is serving know as a member of the Global Network of WHOCCs for Nursing and Midwifery development
- Currently JUST faculty of nursing has enrolled a number of Iraqi nurses for MSN and working to enroll a number of nurses from Somalia, the study of these students is fully supported by WHO-regional office.
b. JUST FACULTY OF Nursing has links with regional and international agencies including:
1. HOPE Foundation-funding training program for Iraqi nurses
Program objectives were:
- Rehabilitate and update qualifications of Iraqi nurses to function as competent nurses for Basrah Children's Hospital
- Develop, and implement curricula for Basic & Specialization Training Program in Pediatric Nursing.
- Improve the quality of nursing service in Basrah Children's Hospital.
2. The Italian Cooperation / Italian Embassy-Funded Post Basic Training Program for Syrian Nurses. Program objectives were:
- Rehabilitate and update qualifications of Syrian MOH nurses to meet the standards required for enrolment in university level programs, BSN or MSN.
- Review, update, and implement curricula for the post-basic training programs, community, pediatric, and critical care nursing to improve the quality of participating nurses.
- Improve the quality of nursing service in order to enhance the health care system in Syria.
3. TEMPUS Funded-Project partnership to Enhance Nursing Education
This 3- year TEMPUS project has contributed to:

- Building teaching capacity of our staff.
- Updating 2 master programs.
- Establishment of a new master program, maternity health nursing.
- Development of a 70-unit nursing computer lab, and
- Provision of advanced teaching/learning technology.
c. The faculty of nursing significantly contributes to community health at local level through:
- Providing patient education programs to targeted group of clients in selected clinical settings
- Participating in various health care committees in different health agencies
- JUST faculty of nursing is active member in the Jordanian Nursing Council; the faculty members are participating in different committees.
