Department of special surgery is formed of three divisions: Orthopedics, Ophthalmology an Otolaryngeology divisions.

Orthopedics Division:
We in the orthopedic division are lucky to be able to receive patients from many parts of Jordan seeking orthopedics treatment; at the same time we are proud that we are treating all the patients received without any need to refer them to other places for further treatment. At the moment we are giving the following services:

1. Trauma Management 
2. Pediatric orthopedics 
3. Reconstruction surgery 
4. Hand surgery. 
5. Spine surgery. 
6. Knee surgery and sports injuries. 
7. Musculoskeletal oncology 
8. Teaching 5th year medical students 
9. Run a high specialty residency program in orthopedics. In future we hope that we can provide the above services through specialized centers such as spine center, knee center, DDH center and so on. Orthopedics team is formed of 7 fulltime consultants, 2 parttime consultants and 10 residents. The head of orthopedics division is Dr Fayeq Darwish FRCS.

Ophalmology Division:
This division is staffed by 5 highly trained consultants and 12 residents. it serves the population of north Jordan. The division provides distinguished services in cataract, glucoma, corneal, and retinal surgery. It also provide the service of corneal transplant and for this it recruts patiant from all over Jordan.The division is running a special retinal surgery center.In the the feild of teaching the division participate actively in teaching the undergradutes the principles of ophalmology. The division is running a postgradute program which is very popular among local and regoinal gradutes due to the fact that this division is recognized by both the Jordanian and Arab boards

Otorhinolaryngeology Division:
This section provides a wide range of services to patients with ear, nose and throat problems. Equipped with state of the art modern technology and staffed with very skillful, specialized and highly-trained physicians, Four specialists and 11 residents in this section provides wide range services.

Some of these are: Cochlear implantation Diagnosis of hearing loss types and providing hearing aids Total and partial laryngectomy Direct laryngoscopy and brochoscopy Septoplasty and rhinoplasty Major Skull base surgeriesasdad Microscopic middle ear surgeries asdasd Endoscopic removal of pituitary and anterior skull base tumors Modern technology of endoscopic sinus surgery
