The department aims at the end of its courses to graduate medical students who are oriented and understanding common surgical disease and problems. As well as providing training for the post graduate students to be an independent surgeons at the end of their five years training course.

The department has also the vision and aim of keeping up with the updates in the field of surgery anesthesia and its subspecialties.
