It is oneof the main and comprehensive departments of the college.  It includes various kinds of surgical subspecialties, like general, vascular, plastic and reconstructive, pediatric, gastrointestinal as well as urological surgeries.  The department offers a wide scale of clinical teaching for the medical students during their surgical courses. It also provides a programmed training courses and training for the post graduate students.

The department has also wide scale of researches that covers various surgical specialties.  The department also shows active participations in local and regional as well as international surgical conferences.
