The two main missions of the diagnostic radiology department are educational and medical care. 

The department, as a part of the university, is intimately involved in medical education. It is involved in teaching the medical schools as well as medical radiographers. The department is also proudly involved in teaching and graduating radiology residents to become distinguished radiologists trained on the most advanced equipment and procedures. 

The second mission is to provide high quality medical care including diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures to our patients. The department works, side by side with other clinical departments and facilities, to provide the best clinical care for our patients.
