About the Faculty
The faculty of engineering was established in 1979 at Yarmouk University with four departments: Architecture, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1983. In 1986, the faculty joined Jordan University of Science and Technology. The department of Agricultural Engineering was established in 1990, (named as Bio-systems Engineering in 2002, discontinued admission in 2006). The departments of Biomedical and Industrial Engineering were established in 1998 and 1999, respectively. In 2007, the Nuclear Engineering department was established as new branch in the college while the Architectural Engineering was detached to a sperate Faculty.
