1. Apply mathematics, and scientific principles and methods
2. Design, conduct experiments, analyze, and interpret experimental data
3. Design a system, component, or process to meet a desired need and apply modern computer tools and packages for process design
4. Function cooperatively on multi-disciplinary teams
5. Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
6. Understand professional and ethical responsibility
7. Communicate effectively in oral, written, graphical and visual forms
8. Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and local context
9. Independently seek new knowledge using various resources and are motivated to pursue further education and training
10. Stay updated on current technology trends and adopt to advances in technologies and disciplines related to their field
11. Effectively use technology (e.g. computers, software, high tech equipment, etc..) in engineering practice
12. Demonstrate an understanding of biology, physiology, and the capability to apply advanced mathematics (including differential equations and statistics), science, and engineering to solve the problems at the interface of engineering and biology.
13. Demonstrate an ability to be able to make measurements on, and interpret data from, living systems, addressing the problems associated with the interaction between living and non-living materials and systems
