A. Allied Dental Sciences Program Objectives:
- To provide students with the knowledge and clinical competences of prevention and nonsurgical periodontal therapy as a dental hygienist (clinician).
- To achieve the goals of applying four – handed dentistry as a dental assistant
- To prepare students for being oral health educators/ wellness promoter locally and Globally.
- To equip students with knowledge and competencies in dental radiography as a dental radiographer.
- To prepare students with knowledge and commutation skills as an advocator, manager, and researcher.
- To equip students with professional ethics as a profession.
Maintain the standards of cross infection control.
- To provide high quality community services related to all aspects of oral health.
B. Dental TechnologyProgram Objectives:
- To provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practice for the construction of complete and partial removable dentures.
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practice for construction of the fixed prosthodontics including ceramo-metal restorations, full metal restorations, free metal restorations with emphasis on implantology and adhesive restorations.
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practice in implantology
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practice on different designs of orthodontic appliances and their use in the real orthodontic practices.
- To teach the student several types and designs of cobalt chromium partial dentures.
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practice on the obturators used for intra-oral maxillofacial prostheses.
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge and practice on fabrication of missing parts in the face including eye, ear, nose and fingers.
- To equip the students with the professional ethics as a profession.
