Characterizing the unit activities can be visualized through dividing its functions into three main domains:

1- Accreditation Domain

Responsibilities:

1. To develop and Update Policy Manuals Of Accreditation For National Body and Institutional Use
2. To maintain Records Of Accreditation Activity;
3. To maintain National Database Of Comparative Institutional Data;
4. To conduct training programs:

5. To coordinate specialized committees as needed ( university on large and faculties)
6. To cooperate with Regional and International Quality Assurance Bodies;
7. To Publicize Quality Assurance Decisions;
8. To Evaluate and Renew Accrediting Process

2- Quality Assurance Domain

Responsibilities:

1. To form a steering committee or quality advisory board of those who are key to university/college planning;
2. To develop quality assurance hand book (Standards Of Quality) in consultation with the different faculties at JUST
3. Provide coordinating services purposes of self-evaluation and quality improvement
4. Provide a focal point for institutional planning, including new program development.
5. Provide liaison services for the institution to the Jordanian Accreditation Body.
6. Provide notification to the appropriate sectors of the institution; (As central services are provided in the areas of management and teaching/learning improvement, fund raising, and other areas);
7. Review programs' Monitoring (Monitoring is the regular, normally annual, internal process )
8. Participate in training programs and system-wide meetings related to quality in Jordan education

3- Research and Assessment Domain

    The primary purpose of Research and Assessment is to collect and analyze data about Jordan University of Science and Technology students to better understand their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. This information is primarily used to inform programs and policies for the university. It will also cover areas like: assistance in preparing internal annual reports and strategic plans; and graduate, employer, and satisfaction surveys. JUSTAQA will be functioning to cover the following three main dimensions:
