was launched at Just University Health Centre in 15^th of January 2007 under the Patronage of her Royal Hience Princess Basma. The opening of such a clinic was going on together with the National Campaign of Breast CA Screening which was launched by KHCC together with Ministry of Health and other private sectors.

Almost one in nine women will get breast cancer during their life time. Treatment of breast cancer is influenced by the stage of the disease. For this reason, early detection of breast cancer and subsequent treatment in early stages increases survival and provides women with more treatment options.  

Breast CA ranked 1^st among cancers in females in Jordan and consisted 33.91 of all female cancer.

In 2001, there were 571 breast CA cases among Jordanian, representing (16.7%) of all newly diagnosed cancer cases.

70% of females in Jordan presents in later stages making early screening and detection clinic a valuable program established in JUST University.

Methods of early detection are breast self examination and yearly physical exam together with radiological imaging, mammography which is available at JUST health centre is one of the most important tools in early detection of breast CA.

The clinic is run by Family Medicine specialist assisted by a registered nurse, radiologist assistant is available to run the procedure of screening mammography.

Our clinic is designed to stream line the process of screening in our local society which will enhance the wellbeing of our women population.
