The Dental Teaching Centre is considered as an independent administrative unit at Jordan University of Science and Technology according to the instructions issued by the council of trustees in accordance with decree 3/A of internal law of scientific centers in Jordan University of Science and Technology. It started working as an independent unit on the 1st of September, 2000.
Several dental services are provided at the dental teaching center situated in Irbid city. The centre is located in an accessible area which is served by public transport. It is composed of 11 wings hositing teaching and private clinics, lecture rooms, dental supply store, dental laboratories, maintenance unit, sterilization and dental radiology units. In addtion, the centre has adminstrative offices and meeting rooms.
The center contains 115 dental units. An up-to-date instruments and materials are distributed on daily basis to the following specialties: Initial treatment unit, Oral medicine, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Operative Dentistry, fixed parital dentures, and removable prosthodontics Prosthodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Periodontics.
The dental teaching center provides clinical training of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students, dental hygienists, dental assistants and dental technology students.
