1. Maxwell's Equations  (Chapter 9) (1.5 weeks)
2. Electromagnetic Wave Propagation (Chapter 10) (5 weeks)
3. Transmission Lines (Chapter 11) (4.5 weeks)
4. Waveguides (Chapter 12)  (2 weeks)
5. Antennas (Chapter 13) (if time permits)

Grading system: 

• Quizzes and Home works: 10%
• Midterm #1: 25%.  Date: Saturday, 6th, Nov., 2004, 9:00-10:30
• Midterm #2: 25%.  Date: Saturday, 11th, Dec., 2004, 9:00-10:30
• Final exam: 40%

Any book on basic Electromagnetics, e.g., D. Cheng, Skitek & Marshal, Paul & Nassar, Kraus, Schaum's series on EM.  

Office Hours:  

• Sunday, Tuesday, & Thursday: 10:15-11:15, 12:15-13:15
• Monday & Wednesday 12:45-14:15

• Absence will be taken almost every lecture. If one exceeds the without-excuse

• 10% limit (i.e., 5 lectures), I have the right to prevent him/her from attending the  final exam.

• Try to come on time to class.

• A list of suggested problems will be given at the end of each chapter.
